Duinenwater

The project “Meerzicht”, as part 2.01 of the Duinenwater site, is one of the last construction projects. It turns its view towards the “put van Decloedt”, focusing on open views over the water. Where street-side views dominate, the building typology seeks shelter and protection centrally. The courtyard garden is surrounded by buildings and thus forms the beating heart of the site as an enclosed garden. The interplay of a rolling terrain, wave-like vegetation and mineral elements shapes the landscape into one whole where subtle boundaries arise between private and collective. The roof garden package is more than 2 m thick, allowing the growth of standard trees.
