This urban infill project on the former textile site of Tissages Bruggeman in Sint-Niklaas nods to its historic past through architecture and landscape. The former access route to the factory is highlighted through the reuse of historic cobblestones. The streets Ververijstraat, Twijnderijstraat and Spinnerijstraat refer to the site’s history and form dead-end streets at the edge of the area, connecting to the central green zone with play and rest pockets flanked by a linear wadi.
