The tree stock around the domain had suffered severely due to the spread of the bark beetle. Felling affected trees to limit further spread created gaps in the woodland structure. Forest conversion and replanting are therefore priority measures. In addition, we lay the foundation for the castle’s repurposing by redesigning the cour d’honneur, shaping circulation routes and parking clusters, and designing planted earth berms as a buffer against the adjacent N4 regional road. Our landscape design also includes the creation of a water feature as a new ecologically valuable landscape element. The landscape plan combines a respectful approach to heritage with a repurposing that brings new life to the castle ensemble and the surrounding park.
