Courtyard with tall trees

The old entry to Brussels Airport has been renovated and is now serving as an office building. Inside, a large open space has been made possible with a 20-metre-high glass roof. Avantgarden furnished this indoor courtyard with volumes of uniform plants from which black olive trees (Bucida buceras, or Shady Lady) reach out, stretching to heights of up to ten metres. Through the simplistic design, the garden creates a powerful response to the architecture of Jaspers-Eyers Architects.
